Furious Artisans was founded in 1998 as record label dedicated to the state-of-the-art in contemporary classical music. We seek to highlight those artists whose vision penetrates beyond the commercial spectrum.

Our unique process has enabled us to produce audiophile quality recordings containing the beauty, richness and warmth that has been absent from recorded classical music since the ubiquitous use of primitive digital technologies in the early 1980's. We maintain strict quality control by overseeing the production process of all releases: repertoire, musicians, recording space, recording, editing, mastering, production, and artwork.

We don't subcontract people with DAT machines to go around and record concerts just to beef up our catalog! Every disc represents hundreds of manhours of meticulous recording, editing and mastering, with the goal of bringing the listener as close as possible to a metaphysical union with the music. If you are a fan of contemporary music, but feel that most recordings do not capture the essence of the composers sonic intent, then we are the label for you.   

We encourage you to purchase all the discs in our catalog and compare their sound quality with any other CD on the market. We are sure you will be surprised at the profound difference in sound between our recordings and most others.
